A new setting for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is supposed to improve the gaming experience on PS5 and Xbox.
What kind of setting is this? Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are getting a new setting with the start of Season 3. From then on, you can restrict crossplay, which means playing together with players on different platforms, to consoles in Ranked.
In both your team and the opposing team, there will only be players who are playing on Xbox or PlayStation. PC players will be excluded when this setting is activated.
Already with Season 2 in January 2025, Black Ops 6 and Warzone received the option to completely turn off crossplay in Ranked. However, this also ended the cooperation between Xbox and PlayStation players.

Why does CoD allow you to exclude PC players? Experience has shown that most cheaters play Call of Duty on a PC. Activision confirmed this in a new blog post (via callofduty.com).
While about 60% of player reports are against console players, Activision’s data shows that only an extremely small portion of cheaters are on consoles.
The ability to exclude PC players from matchmaking with the crossplay settings reduces the chance of encountering a cheater for console players. This gives you more control over which platforms you play with and allows you to avoid cheaters better.
On April 2nd at around 6 PM, Season 3 will kick off in Black Ops 6. At the same time, the servers of Call of Duty: Warzone will go offline for about 24 hours before coming back online on April 3rd, including the return of Verdansk.
