Treyarch continues to diligently refine the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta. Recently, another update was released. Alongside numerous adjustments and fixes, the new update also brought the first event playlist “Fast Collapse”.
How does the new Fast Collapse mode play in the Blackout Beta? And what other changes were made for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale? We have compiled all the important information for you.
Fast Collapse Event in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta

What is Fast Collapse? It is a new event-based playlist in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta. The mode is already live and can be played – but only in the Quads format, so in a team of four players. This playlist is not suitable for Solo and Duos.
What makes Fast Collapse unique? As the name suggests, the play area shrinks faster in this mode. The circle now contracts at double speed. Players have less time to find suitable gear and to keep up with the ever-shrinking safety zone. This makes the game overall faster.

The Beta also offers: In the coming days, you can expect even more special events within the Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta. As the developers stated, Fast Collapse is merely the first of three events that will occur during this test phase.
Changes Introduced by the Latest Update for the Call of Duty Blackout Beta
Apart from the new event playlist, there were changes in the following areas:
Armor:
- A bug was fixed where players with Level 3 Armor did not take explosion damage.
Weapons:
- For the sniper rifle Koshka, the time required to look through the sight device was increased. Headshots with this weapon will no longer take down opponents with 200 health points in a single shot.
- The scope for the golden Titan was fixed.
- With the Paladin, opponents with 200 health points can no longer be eliminated with a single headshot.
Various Fixes:
- General fixes for stability and matchmaking.
- Players waiting for revival/healing can no longer interact with their inventory.
- A raft spawning upside down at Hydro Dam was fixed.
- An exploit that could lead to infinite ammunition was eliminated.

Issues in the Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta Being Monitored by Treyarch
Furthermore, the developers have stated that the following areas will be closely monitored in the long term and adjustments have already been made in parts:
Level 2 and 3 Armor: Treyarch will closely observe how Level 2 and Level 3 armor performs over time – both in use and their distribution on the map. They do not want to rush anything and are taking a cautious approach regarding tuning and balancing. New approaches are already being tested.
Weapons: They continue to monitor the performance and popularity of various weapons. Currently, they have particularly noted the Vapr, which has not yet proven to be significantly overpowered.
Zombies: Zombies can currently attack from a distance that was not intended. A fix is already being tested.
Item Distribution: The quantity, frequency, and quality of the distribution of weapons, perks, gear, and other items will continue to be refined.
Item/Inventory Management: There has already been plenty of feedback and some changes made. Currently, further comfort functions in this area are being evaluated – such as when interacting with crates or managing weapon attachments. However, not all improvements will likely make it into the ongoing Beta.
Kill Credits: In some situations, kills are not counted correctly. However, these issues are expected to be fixed by the launch of Black Ops 4.
Climbing Ladders: There seem to still be some issues. Solutions are already being considered, but these will not make it into the Beta. However, the issues should be resolved by launch.
Reporting Unfair Players: The team will continue to track players who frequently exhibit poor behavior and will consistently ban them for team kills.
