In Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) there is a new weapon: the C4 bomb as a remote detonation charge. You can trigger it via remote control and set up all sorts of nasty traps.
Fortnite: Battle Royale regularly receives new weapons. Recently, Epic Games delighted fans of large-caliber weapons with the hand cannon and the hunting rifle. Now, with the new C4 explosive, it’s the turn of friends of devious traps, demolition experts, and trolls.
However, the C4 is not just a troll weapon; it could sustainably influence gameplay.
How the C4 works
The C4 is a rare drop and therefore may not be found very often. However, those who manage to get it can create some mischief. The following guidelines apply to the explosives:
- C4 deals 80 damage. 2-3 charges should kill anyone.
- C4 is thrown in an arc and sticks to surfaces.
- You can also stick it directly anywhere.
- C4 is hard to see; it’s just a brown box that blinks and makes quiet beeping sounds.
- You can lay down as much C4 as you have. The bomb only explodes if you shoot it or activate the remote.
- You can make your C4 go off at any time by right-clicking. However, the range is limited. The bombs explode in the order you placed them.
Trollololol – C4 makes trolls happy in Fortnite
The obvious use of C4 is first and foremost to set up nasty traps. Players with troll ambitions gleefully set C4 explosives on valuable loot. Then they hide behind a bush and trigger it with a smirk when an unsuspecting player tries to grab what seems like safe loot.
Unlike the previously common traps, the C4 is hard to spot and right now, since it’s new to the game, many players hardly expect that a loot box will suddenly explode around them. We have embedded a few particularly fun videos of troll C4 usage in this article. Have fun!
Fortresses become ruins
The C4 has many more applications than just achieving troll kills. If your opponent has C4, your fortresses become much less useful. Previously, you were quite safe if you barricaded yourself in a large tower. The opponent stood below, and by the time he could destroy the structure, you had already shot him.
With a few C4 charges around the building base, a proud fortress can be reduced to rubble in seconds and collapse around you. The opponent can then shoot you like a rabbit while you still watch the remains of your bastion fly around you in shock.
The C4 is also well suited for tearing down existing buildings. If your enemy has barricaded himself somehow, just throw a few charges of C4 into and around the building, and the cover will be gone. Just a Tilted Towers can be wonderfully reached with C4 through windows.
