In New World the new expansion Rise of the Angry Earth has just been released. In line with the release, both the base game and the combination of the game and the expansion are significantly discounted. However, the offer only lasts for a week.
How much does New World cost? The MMORPG is currently on sale, both on Steam and at Amazon itself:
- 15.99 Euro for the base game
- 19.99 Euro for the Deluxe edition of the base game
- 44.98 Euro for the base game + the expansion Rise of the Angry Earth
Actually, the base game still costs 39.99 Euro and the new expansion 28.99 Euro. The offer lasts for one week, until October 10th. After that, you will have to pay higher prices.
Interestingly, the new expansion can only be purchased since the release today at 6:00 PM. A pre-order was not possible, which led to chaos at the launch.
Is the purchase worth it? New World has been greatly expanded since its release in September 2021. A new area, several new dungeons and related mutations, new weapons, and an overhauled story are just a small excerpt of what has changed. The leveling process has also been adjusted and is now much more dynamic.
The new seasons also guarantee an update every quarter, bringing new features like story quests, instances, and events each time.
The highlight now is, of course, the new expansion, which also brings an increased level cap and mounts. This has also directly caused queues. However, there are also completely new and so far quite unpopulated servers where you can now join if you decide to purchase the game.
New Level Cap, New Area and the Mounts
What’s included in the new expansion? If you buy the package with the expansion directly, you can look forward to some new content that other players have not yet discovered, including:
- The area Elysian Wilds, which was formerly known as First Light and will become the endgame zone.
- The new mounts. These come in three versions: Horse, Wolf and Lion.
- The new max level 65.
- The new gear score raised to 700. In addition, a new rarity tier beyond legendary is being introduced for the equipment: the Artifacts.
- The new weapon Mace.
- A new dungeon for players level 62+.
On the test server, we have already tried the mounts and the new dungeon. The mounts, for example, are significantly more dynamic than in WoW but do not reach the level of those in Guild Wars 2. Nevertheless, they are a useful innovation that also comes with its own quests and several races.
