And 2021 not only brought new, powerful graphics cards but also technical innovations in several games. In the MMORPG ESO, thanks to Nvidia’s DLSS, you get significantly more FPS than before.
How much are you willing to spend if you want to buy a graphics card?
How does the current situation look? As of now (January 11, 2022), you cannot get a graphics card at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP).
- For a GeForce RTX 3080, you currently pay at least 1399 euros. The MSRP is 729 euros.
- For an AMD RX 6800, you pay at least 1299 euros. The MSRP is 579 euros.
Both at AMD and Nvidia, you pay significantly more than the MSRP. Scalpers make a lot of money off selling graphics cards, and many online retailers also charge not much less. There’s also another reason why you as a gamer hardly have any chance to buy a graphics card.
