Black Friday is always a good opportunity to save money on certain things. Some will also ask whether they could save money on an RTX 3060, RTX 3060 Ti, or RTX 3070.

Memory and Hard Drive – Pay Attention to These Specs
If you want to buy a gaming PC, there are a few important things to keep in mind. Otherwise, a good offer can quickly turn into a trap.
You should generally pay attention to buying a gaming PC with at least 16 GB of RAM. This is currently the best option, as 8 GB will quickly limit you. Particularly future-proof is 32 GB, but most users will not need that much yet.
If you see a gaming PC with 8 GB of RAM, you should at least look for an upgrade option. For this, the gaming PC should have at least two RAM slots, and one of them should be free. If you don’t like tinkering with computers, you should avoid systems with 8 GB.
Additionally, you should ensure that you get enough storage. A combination of 512 GB SSD and 1 TB SSD/HDD is the most common option. While you use the smaller drive for the operating system and important programs, you can offload your games onto the larger SSD/HDD.
RTX 3060, RTX 3070, or RTX 3080 – Which Graphics Card?
How fast does my graphics card need to be? Generally, you should be clear about what you actually need. Do you just want to play a few MOBAs, and do the details not need to be at full settings? Or do you want the whole package of 4K, cool ray tracing, and more?
If you mainly want to play MOBAs like League of Legends, a GTX 1650 or GTX 1660 would normally be sufficient. However, the prices for those are currently quite high. If you do not need to buy a PC immediately, wait for prices to stabilize. Currently, prices for a GTX 1660 are at least 499 Euros, and it is better to wait for a good deal on an RTX 3060 (via geizhals.de).
With the GeForce RTX 3060 or the RX 6600 (XT), you are already getting powerful performance for Full HD at 144 Hz and even some reserve for WQHD. If you prefer to play in WQHD at 144 Hz, then you should at least get an RX 6700 XT or an RTX 3070. The price increase for the RTX 3070 Ti is only marginally worth it.
Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2060/RTX 2070 are Still Sufficient in 2021
Can you still game with old hardware? With older hardware, you can save money, especially when every Euro counts.
If you see a gaming PC with Ryzen 3000 or with a 10th generation Intel processor on sale, that is initially not a bad deal. Even though these processors are already a year old, their performance is still sufficient for all games and applications.
There is already a newer processor with the Ryzen 5 5600X, but the Ryzen 5 3600 still offers more than enough performance at this time. Newer processors usually provide slightly better performance or are simply more efficient than older generations.
With an RTX 2060 or RTX 2070, you can still game without problems at this time. Additionally, even the second generation of RTX cards supports ray tracing and DLSS.
Are There Really Good Deals on Black Friday?
Those needing to buy a gaming PC now—whether because circumstances force them to or they urgently need a birthday or Christmas gift—will still find some worthwhile offers where they can save some money.
Otherwise, the advice remains: If you currently do not need new hardware, be patient and wait for prices to stabilize in the coming months. As NVIDIA explained, graphics card prices will remain high even in 2022 and will only decrease afterward.

Things look a bit better at the retailer OTTO. Here you can potentially save around 30% on a new gaming PC with an RTX 3060 or even RTX 3070. While prices are still very high, the offers are on average better than if you had to buy a graphics card.
