The Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 comes in numerous editions. We help you – whether you are a beginner or a returning player – to buy the right edition.
Do you want to dive into Forsaken in Destiny 2 as a beginner or continue your Guardian’s journey with the new autumn add-on as a returner or veteran, but wonder which of the many editions is right for you? With this overview, we want to simplify your choice a bit.

Because the right choice depends not only on personal preferences and additional content of some versions but is also significantly determined by whether and to what extent you already own Destiny 2.
The Forsaken Editions – The Pure Add-on
The pure Forsaken expansion (without the base game) will be available in several versions starting from September 4, 2018. Pre-orders are already possible.
- Destiny 2: Forsaken for €39.99
- Destiny 2: Forsaken + Annual Pass for €69.99
- Destiny 2: Forsaken Digital Deluxe Edition for €79.99
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Forsaken expansion, the Annual Pass, and the Awoken Legends set consisting of:
- Ornament for the Legendary Bow “Majestic Wrath”
- Emblem “Paladin’s Lament”
- Vestian Ghost Shell

Who are these editions for? These various editions of the Forsaken add-on are suitable for everyone who already owns Destiny 2 along with all previous content. Both the base game and DLC I “Curse of Osiris” and DLC II “Warmind” are required to play the Forsaken expansion.
If you want to check out Forsaken for yourself and then decide whether to continue or not, the regular version of the add-on is suitable. If you want to secure the additional content of the Annual Pass right away, you should opt for the corresponding edition. If you also want to secure some special in-game items, the Deluxe Edition is likely the right choice.
