The video game developer Bungie stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The Seattle-based studio is halting the sale of their shooter and only game Destiny 2 in Russia and Belarus. In addition, they are distributing the emblem Cоняшник for free to all players. The emblem is dedicated to the citizens of Ukraine and bears the symbol of the national flower of Ukraine, a sunflower.
This is what Bungie says: Bungie states that they stand with the people of Ukraine and with all those affected by the war.
According to reports, over two million Ukrainians are fleeing the invasion. Families and friends, homes and communities are being lost.
According to Bungie, they are able to provide humanitarian aid through the Bungie Foundation, and players have once again proven that they are the guardians of the world, having already donated $120,000 in just 48 hours.
Whatever amount their employees donate will be matched 1:1 by Bungie, effectively doubling it.
Sale of Destiny 2 content and Silver in Russia halted
This is what Bungie is doing: The developers say they are working with their partners to stop the sale of all Destiny 2 products in Russia and Belarus. Players in these regions can still play the Destiny 2 content they have already purchased, and download the Free2Play version, but they will no longer be able to purchase new content or acquire the in-game currency Silver.
With this, Bungie joins a long list of major game developers who are halting their sales in Russia.

This is the new emblem: Bungie says they are giving all Destiny 2 players the new emblem Cоняшник (sunflower) for free. The symbol represents the people of Ukraine in an impossible time.
The emblem featured the coat of arms of Ukraine, an impressionistic sunflower, the national flower of Ukraine, covering the peaceful land – a metaphor for hope and Bungie’s way of showing solidarity.
How to get the emblem? Bungie will release a code in a few hours that will allow all players to receive the new emblem. We will then update this article on MeinMMO with the new code.
