If you have taken a break from Destiny 2 due to the lack of content, we will show you why you should take your Sparrow out for a spin again. Because Bungie gives you a reason to do so at the start of 2022.
What to expect at the beginning of 2022 in Destiny 2? The year 2021 is coming to an end, and 2022 will be welcomed with open arms. With the new year, another major expansion for Destiny 2 is on the horizon, namely: Witch Queen.
On February 22, 2022, Savathun, the Witch Queen, will welcome you in her Throne World, and it is up to you to stop her. Since Season 15 was the longest compared to previous seasons, some Guardians may have already switched to other games.
To ensure you don’t miss the new expansion and jump into the next DLC unprepared, we hereby remind you to possibly make arrangements before Savathun breaks out of her prison.
Preparations need to be made
What can I do to be prepared? Every launch into a new DLC can be stressful, especially if you’re low on upgrade materials. We list what you need for the release:
- Upgrade Modules
- Improvement Cores
- Enhancement Prisms
- Ascendant Shards
- Glimmer
- Legendary Shards
- Weapon Parts
- Resources from various places
Since the DLC will offer new weapons, you should first collect the weapons from the Dreaming City and from the 30th Anniversary event, and maybe snag a God Roll or two. This way, you can focus entirely on the new items.
Furthermore, it is advisable to grab all the synthetic strands from Ada-1 in the Tower. Because the old bounties expire and cannot be stacked when you enter a new chapter. With them, you will have a good stockpiled supply to style yourself properly in the DLC thanks to transmog.
The pesky vault: Many Guardians enjoy using it, but when it comes to sorting it out, everyone disappears without a trace. To ensure you have enough space for your new treasures in the upcoming expansion, you should part with unnecessary rolls and dismantle them.
Often you think that every weapon roll could eventually prove useful. But that’s where the mistake lies; dismantle rolls you’re unsure you would ever use.
Say goodbye to the Tangled Shore: The destination “Tangled Shore” will bid farewell to Destiny 2 once the new chapter begins. So collect enough mementos, run through the “Forsaken” campaign one more time, and enjoy the lawless environment of what was once the dark place of the shore.
For those concerned about the Dreaming City and its associated dungeon, you can relax. These contents and the “Last Wish” raid will still be playable after February 22, 2022.
Dress to impress: Through the new dungeon “Sog of Avarice,” you can adorn your Guardian with cool gear to match the Thrall theme of the new expansion. But that’s not all – soon you will encounter swamps and other areas. Therefore, it is advisable to give your Guardian the perfect look so that he can charge into battle in style.
