In Destiny 2, Bungie has apparently admitted its puzzle defeat. The new Bergusia Forge is simply opening up. It will start tonight.
This was the plan: Players were actually supposed to solve a complicated puzzle around the “Niobe Labs”. Once the first team finished the puzzle, the fourth and final forge of the DLC “Black Armory”, the Bergusia Forge, would open for all Guardians in Destiny 2 who had purchased the Annual Pass.
Bungie apparently hoped that well-known streamers would solve the puzzle on Twitch with the help of their community, ideally still on Tuesday evening.
But after more than 24 hours, the puzzle is still not solved. More and more streamers are giving up, trying to tackle the puzzle further.
It’s probably just too hard. After all, it has 7 stages, and the individual levels are quite absurd. The stream teams appeared more tired, frustrated, and somehow defeated with each passing hour.
The “normal players” have become restless in the meantime. More and more loudly, one hears: I want to play this now, I paid for it. Others, on the other hand, found the puzzle exciting and praised Bungie for trying something like this.
This is what Bungie is doing now: At 9:20 PM our time, Bungie apparently decided to give up waiting for super brains in Destiny 2.
They are simply opening the Bergusia Forge. Starting today at 11:00 PM, anyone with the Annual Pass can enter.
Bungie Admits Mistakes
This is what Bungie says: “The puzzle of the Niobe Labs can still be solved for rewards, but we have heard your feedback. We will decouple the solving of the puzzle from the opening of the forges,” tweeted Bungie tonight.
Bungie goes even further and admits a mistake. It says: “While it can be fun to solve a puzzle together as a community, placing this puzzle as a barrier between players and new content has not been a good experience.”
Bungie states: They love trying new things with Destiny, but they are also flexible enough to change course if players show that there is a need for improvement. They follow the discussions and learn from the feedback for future new content.
This is the reward for the puzzle solver: While Bungie opens the forge at 11:00 PM, they don’t want to completely throw puzzle enthusiasts off. The puzzle remains active.
As a reward for solving the puzzle, a ghost and a special emblem are still available. This is proof of having solved the puzzle.
If the puzzle is solved before 11:00 PM German time, the Bergusia Forge will open accordingly earlier.
