In Pokémon GO the big Bug Event has started! It brings you new quests, shinies, and raid bosses. We give you the overview.
This is what the Bug Brawl is about: This event runs until July 1st at 10:00 PM local time. Until then, you can catch numerous Bug-type Pokémon.
Additionally, the item incense is in the spotlight and attracts especially many bugs.
Everything about shinies, spawns, and quests
These are the quests: There are a total of 6 new field research tasks that you can complete. They include:
- Catch 15 Bug-type Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Burmy*
- Catch 7 Bug-type Pokémon
- Reward: 1000 Stardust
- Hatch an egg
- Reward: Encounter with a Scyther*
- Trade a Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Snover or Karrablast
- Use 3 berries while catching Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Klink*
- Land 5 curveball throws
- Reward: Encounter with a Tangel
The quests are quite strong this time again. Almost everywhere there is a potential shiny to be had. Additionally, the quest with 1000 Stardust is quick to complete and very rewarding.
By the way, Pokémon with an asterisk (*) can be shiny.
What new shinies are there? There are no big surprises at this event. As announced, shiny Klink is now in the game. It is just a bit darker than the normal version. So you have to look closely.
Otherwise, there are many more shiny checks at the event. There are already quite a few bug Pokémon that can also be shiny.
What spawns are there? The list of spawns is long. For shiny hunters, Pokémon such as Klink, Pionskora, Bluzuk, or Raupy are interesting. The best Bug attackers or their pre-evolutions Scyther and Pinsir can also be found more frequently.
New raid bosses in the Bug Event
These are the bosses: Numerous Bug Pokémon can now also be found in raids. They are complemented by other useful monsters:

Which bosses are worth it? There are numerous shiny checks among the raid bosses. Out of a total of 18 Pokémon, a full 15 monsters can also be shiny.
Otherwise, there are also again some strong attackers or their pre-evolutions, such as Praktibalk, Scyther, Pinsir, or Zekrom.
Those who like to fight in the PvP league will also get their money’s worth. Pokémon like Alola-Knogga, Alola-Raichu, or Flunkifer are really strong attackers for the leagues.
