In Marvel’s Avengers your heroes only have access to their full potential at maximum level. Therefore, it’s important to quickly reach the max level of 50 with as many characters in the game as possible. With our tips on MeinMMO, you can achieve this the fastest.
What’s up with leveling? In Marvel’s Avengers, there are two important stats that evaluate the combat power of your heroes: character level and power level.
- Power Level: Increased by gear
- Character Level: Increased by XP
Therefore, you should first raise the character level: Your power level increases gradually by collecting items. However, really powerful items that provide significant boosts are found only late in the endgame.
Therefore, it’s more sensible to focus on raising the character level to the maximum level of 50 first. Since in multiplayer you can only play one specific hero per team, it makes sense to have as many characters at max level as possible. Because it doesn’t help to have a fully upgraded Hulk if your buddy also wants to play as Hulk and you have to switch to a much weaker replacement hero.
Additionally, at maximum level, you have full access to your skills and can optimally customize your build, which significantly enhances the gameplay of Avengers and finally reveals the full potential of your heroes. Many of the heroes can then also play much faster, for example, the Hulk, who can finally take a lot of hits or Black Widow, whose cooldowns can suddenly be significantly reduced.
With this type of mission, you level up super fast
This is what you need to do to power level: Once you’ve completed the campaign and started the endgame, you can select missions at the War Table and tackle them alone or with friends. You have the choice between smaller skirmishes and larger events like battling supervillains or raiding A.I.M bases, known as “Hives” or “Stöcke” in German.
This is why A.I.M.-Hives are optimal: You level up fastest in the Hives. Because here you go directly into a well-secured A.I.M. base, and on five levels, the enemies come flooding in on their own and pound the punching bag. You just have to beat up the incoming enemies as they come. In other missions, there are often longer paths between fights, not here.
This whole process takes about 20 to 25 minutes, and due to the sheer number of enemies, you typically level up about 4 to 5 levels per Hive. This can easily be done at normal difficulty (Challenge II) also with AI partners. If you increase the difficulty and have some good players for the multiplayer mode, you’ll also get better loot.
Useful: This way, you also earn a good loot piece or two that further boosts your power level. You can find more useful tips here.
This is how you unlock the Hives: To unlock the Hives, you first need to complete the four SHIELD grouping missions in multiplayer. After that, you’ll get your first Hive. Once you have completed that, there are another 2, including an elite Hive that is 5 levels above you and therefore a bit trickier.
So if there is always a Hive available in the War Table of the multiplayer mode, then drop everything and fight your way through the heavily guarded base of the enemies. By the way, what A.I.M. is about and what lies behind the sinister organization of the bizarre supervillain MODOK can be found out here.
