Fortnite: Battle Royale is constantly drawing attention with its dances. The moves from the game have now been performed live by a Korean pop band on a US late-night show.
What happened? In the USA, “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” is a big deal, watched by many viewers. On average, around 11 million viewers tune in every time when host Jimmy Fallon is on stage doing his antics or performing sketches. Recently, the K-Pop band BTS (Beyond the Scene) was featured on the show.
The band is one of the few K-Pop groups that is successful outside of Asia. They will even perform here in Berlin on October 16 and 17.
Fortnite dances and pop songs: After BTS got the audience squealing (with joy) with their hits “Idol” and “I’m Fine”, a special highlight began.
Together with host Jimmy Fallon, a Fortnite dance contest was showcased. The band members and the host had to perform a series of popular Fortnite dances. Among them were fan favorites like “Orange Justice”, “Floss” and “Best Mates”.
You can see what all this looked like in the video embedded above. Have fun!
Fortnite dances are becoming more well-known
Fortnite is becoming more mainstream: The dance contest on the Jimmy Fallon show once again shows how relevant Fortnite has become. In recent times, the colorful battle royale game has managed to catch the public eye several times. These include Fortnite dances at sporting events, even at the 2018 World Cup.
Dances are also under criticism: Some artists do not appreciate when Epic uses their moves without permission in the game, leading everyone to think that the dances originated from the game. Hence, there have already been lawsuits against Fortnite, especially from rappers.
