Bungie is putting a bounty on Destiny 2. The problem: For German players, the event takes place at impossible times.
The Bungie Bounty is back. This ritual was held weekly in Destiny 1. Bungie puts a “bounty” on a streamer. Anyone who takes them down in normal Crucible operations during a specific time receives a special emblem. Here it is:

Set your alarm if you want to claim the bounty
The problem: The event takes place at an unsociable hour for German players. From this Wednesday night to Thursday at 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM on PS4.
Anyone who wants to participate needs to set the alarm like back in the day for boxing matches and rise in the middle of the night and get started while they’d rather be peacefully asleep.

The only glimmer of hope: In Destiny 1, Bungie later had players from Europe such as the German YouTuber Venero TV. They operated at “more convenient times”. Then players from Germany could earn the emblem.
Players on Xbox One are also excluded from this current event. However, Bungie explicitly announces that they will hold later bounties for Xbox players on their platform.
Bungie annoys with US working hours
Recently, players in this country have been feeling that Bungie is located on the West Coast of the USA in Seattle: the long maintenance periods in recent weeks always took place during the main European playtime and stretched from the late afternoon to the late evening.

Between 4 PM and 10 PM, most German players probably want to fight against the Darkness with their Guardian. That doesn’t work when Bungie is busy tweaking the servers. And that continues to frustrate players.
Kill the hat guy, save the world
This time the target of the Bungie Bounty is the streamer Gigz. He is assisted by three Bungie employees: Senior Designer Kevin Yanes, Community Manager Cozmo, and Senior Designer Josh Hamrick.

Hamrick became known as “the hat guy” during the Sandbox stream for Age of Triumph in Destiny 1. He managed to draw the community’s ire because he presented it as his idea to nerf the Bladedancer. It was about the skill “Ungering Blade.” Back then, some people complained about “the hat guy”: they thought the Bladedancer was already too weak.
Time to take revenge.
