The Anniversary Event in Borderlands 3 continues. This time, the focus is on the Mayhem Mode – there is a lot of loot!
When does the event start? The new event “Mayhem on Twitch” begins on Tuesday evening, October 22, 2019. A micropatch is expected to be deployed by no later than midnight, introducing the new event week. It runs until October 29.
The new event focuses on both the eponymous Mayhem Mode and the Twitch extension ECHOcast. The Eridium event will end with the start of the new week. However, it wasn’t really popular:
Mayhem on Twitch brings more anointed weapons
This is happening in the event: The new event week brings new bonuses. And they can be quite rewarding. In the Mayhem Mode, there is the event:
- An increased drop chance for anointed weapons.
- More XP
- Reduced negative effects
This means: You can collect more valuable loot. Especially the less strict negative modifiers should simplify the hunt for weapons in Mayhem Mode. After all, some enemies in Mayhem Mode are hardly beatable.
This is happening on Twitch: Viewers should also benefit from the event. The ECHOcast extension on Twitch will play an important role. For example, viewers can:
- Control and enhance more badass enemies of the streamers
- Rare Chest Events get an improved 100 percent win rate
How you can take advantage of the event: To use the bonuses in game, you must have completed the story. Before that, you cannot activate the Mayhem Mode.
To collect the Twitch bonuses, you need to connect your SHiFT and Twitch accounts.
What’s next: The fourth week of the Anniversary Event also represents the second to last week. Next week, there will be a “spooky surprise”. This is likely related to the upcoming Halloween event “Bloody Harvest“.
