On a Twitch channel, 4 hours of gameplay from Borderlands 3 was “accidentally” shown. Apparently, it was a test that was noticed.
It will be a little over a month until Borderlands 3 is finally released and fans can quench their thirst for “Shoot&Loot” again. But now, some fans have noticed something on the Twitch platform. A developer apparently streamed a solid 4 hours of gameplay from Borderlands 3 and was caught in the act.
Why was the stream made? The stream was titled “Today, we make stuff work! Hooray!” which translates to about “Heute sorgen wir dafür, dass das Zeug funktioniert. Hurra!”. Apparently, it was a test stream where the social features of Borderlands 3 were being tested.
After all, Borderlands 3 has a strong integration of other players. For example, you can send weapons to friends or get rewarded for watching Twitch streams.
The channel had the meaningful name “0i0ziesklofy4skgvi49if7xy”, it was apparently meant to remain secret. However, it didn’t escape the attention of some. We have included the (sadly very blurry) images in the article for you.
What was shown in the stream? In the 4 hours of gameplay, there were mainly early scenes of the game. For instance, a glimpse of Lilith talking to the Vault Hunters (like the Sirens in previous installments via a transmission), the intro of Marcus Kincaid (the well-known weapon dealer), the character selection, and some small insights into the skill tree of FL4K. It appears to be able to summon several different pets that each bring their own abilities.
After it became apparent that the stream actually attracted some viewers, it was quickly taken offline, and the video has disappeared.
Fortunately, it won’t be long before we can dive into the world of Pandora ourselves.
