The Director’s Cut for Borderlands 3 was supposed to be released in March. However, severe storms caused issues for the developers.
When is the new DLC for Borderlands 3 coming? Originally, the Director’s Cut for Borderlands 3 was set to release on March 18. Now the paid DLC has been postponed: instead of being released in March, it will now be available on April 08, 2021. However, the reason for this is unusual.
Via Twitter, the developers explained that the severe weather conditions last month in Texas led to the delay.
The team is safe and healthy, but the challenges of the situation interrupted work on the Director’s Cut, according to the statement. Therefore, a decision was made to postpone the release. This means that players waiting for new content for Borderlands 3 will have to be patient a little longer.
Director’s Cut brings more endgame content to Borderlands 3
What’s included in the Director’s Cut: The DLC is part of Season Pass 2 and brings a huge Varkid raid boss to the game. Players have been waiting for a raid boss in this form despite content like the Takedowns. With the DLC, the fight is supposed to become accessible.
To challenge the boss, players must complete the main story in the game and pay 500 Eridium units with their group. The Varkid named “Hemovorous, the Invincible” is expected to become one of the toughest endgame challenges in the game, scaling with both levels and the chosen mayhem mode.
Additionally, there will be a new series of story missions following the character Ava through a mysterious series of murders. The new missions are expected to lead players back through the locations of Pandora, Promethea, Eden-6, and Nekrotefayo.
Furthermore, new vault cards are intended to provide players with new challenges every day, which can be completed for additional rewards. This will be rounded off with features such as concept art and cosmetics for the vault hunters.
