That Zane is quite fast in Borderlands 3 with the right skills is nothing new. But that he can run faster than a car is indeed new.
Borderlands 3 is known for a fair amount of madness. In addition to the planned madness that the game already offers, players constantly find new surprises in the world of Borderlands. For example, NPC-destroying slot machines or a not-so-conspicuous roller coaster in the desert.
The user meeksorad also seems to be working on uncovering the secrets of Borderlands. He found a way to make the Vault Hunter Zane fast – really fast.
Zane overtakes a car, looks like the Flash
What it’s about: In a video on reddit, meeksorad shows how one of the many vehicles moves through the desert. The vehicles are, apart from fast travel, normally the fastest way to get from A to B.
But suddenly a character runs across the screen and disappears again at the edge. Even with the boost activated, the car cannot keep up with the ridiculously fast-running little guy. What that looks like, you see here:
This character is of course Zane, who is known for gaining quite a bit of speed with the right skill distribution. But that the Vault Hunter is consistently moving at such a high speed – that’s new.
How does it work? The user explains that his build causes the kill skills, in conjunction with his gear, to increase Zane’s base speed.
If you repeat this as many times as you like, the scene seen above occurs. It’s probably not thought of this way originally – but it looks damn funny.
This is how the community reacts: The video is well received by other players. User Gianhermosillo compares it to scenes from the upcoming Sonic movie – and user Maattata compares Zane to the Flash: “My name is Zane Flynt, and I am the fastest bastard in the world.”
If you are fans of Zane, this build might be something for you:
