In Borderlands 3, the new update is receiving positive reactions – a difference from previous patches. And the future holds more good news ahead!
What’s in the update: Last week’s update included not only the launch of the Bloody Harvest Events. Alongside the Halloween festivities featuring Boss Captain Haunt and new quests, players were also treated to a multitude of adjustments in the game.
The good part: This time, it wasn’t primarily about adjusting weapons or builds. There have been several patches of this kind already, and they did not exactly raise cheers. No, this time, actual bugs were addressed. For example:
- Stability issues
- The volume of the intro
- Bug fixes of various kinds
- Fundamental corrections
There were also additional features such as the photo mode and the ability to activate the Mayhem Mode in True Vault Hunter Mode on consoles. The complete list of the patch notes is long – and is well received by the players.
Players are excited about the patch and announcements
How the community reacts: On “reddit”, it can be observed that the patch has apparently struck a chord with players. Many express very positive feelings – for example, the user “TheLostVaultHunter“: “This is a patch! Just corrections, no nerfs!”
The future looks optimistic: The community was particularly pleased with multiple promises for the future that Gearbox announced with the update. Announcements included:
- Adjustment of the bank
- Performance and stability will be corrected
- Special loot pools
- An expansion of the Mayhem Mode
- Skippable cutscenes
All these issues have been concerning the community for a while. In the upcoming updates, adjustments are promised by Gearbox – leading to even more joy among the players.
Players are thrilled: For example, “ElliottM8“: “I am so proud that they are adjusting everything we criticized.”
This is echoed by “HollowDakota“: “I had concerns about the longevity of the game after the nerfs, but these notes make me want to play more. It’s great that the most important issues are being addressed: “Not perfect – but a step in the right direction.”
Is there also criticism? Certainly – but not so pronounced. One problem that some players have been observing since the update is the classification of items as “junk” and “favorite”. This no longer works properly. However, Gearbox has already announced that they are working on it.
Additionally, some grenades associated with Moze no longer function as expected. Whether this was intended by Gearbox is currently unknown.
