In Borderlands 3, there’s going to be a lot happening soon. This week, a new max level will be introduced – followed by an insane April.
This will be the new max level: As announced in the current Borderlands show, thanks to a free update coming this Thursday, you can level up to level 57. This means that the previous not-so-old max limit of 53 levels is already history. The new limit arrives just in time for the release of the new DLC.
What does this mean for Vault Hunters? The new level cap means there will be loot with an even higher level than before. Particularly important: With the new level cap, you can gain four additional skill points.

This is crucial because: With these skill points, you can now unlock two ultimate abilities for your Vault Hunter at the same time. Until now, you could only have one active. Your Vault Hunters will become utterly overpowered – as now entirely new, powerful builds will be possible. And they will likely be needed in the coming weeks.
April in Borderlands 3 will be chaotic
What’s coming in April? In the show, the developers also spoke about the new Mayhem 2.0 mode, which is set to be released in April. The chaos mode will then include 10 levels instead of the previous four, presenting you with new challenges again and again. There will be more than 25 chaos modifiers – and each Mayhem level will provide you with increasingly powerful loot.
At the same time, the six-week event “Revenge of the Cartels” will kick off in April. Here, you will need to hunt gangsters to ultimately storm the estate of Boss Joey Ultraviolet. There will be different gangs that distribute various rewards. This will likely also include new loot – which could align with your new abilities.
Borderlands 3 might reinvent itself to some extent. And the new DLC is enticing with plenty of new content:
