In Borderlands 3, two improvements that fans have long desired may be coming soon. Gearbox announced it will take a closer look at two loot features.
This is what players wished for: The goal of many players in Borderlands 3 is to collect as many legendary weapons as possible. There are plenty of other items to collect – the possibilities seem almost endless. The problem: At this point in time, that’s not really possible. Unfortunately, the space for items in Borderlands 3 is currently limited to 50 slots. It’s understandable that many would want more space.
Additionally, the search for specific items is relatively difficult due to random drops. While you can farm bosses to get legendary weapons, which weapons you can get from which enemies is not always certain.
Gearbox responds – but not immediately
This is what Gearbox says about the situation: In the Twitch format “Co-op Couch”, Elisa Melendez, Grant Kao, and Graeme Timmins from Gearbox discussed not only the latest hotfix. They also talked about community wishes – including “bank space” and fixed drops for weapons. And look: Both topics are currently on Gearbox’s agenda. However, it is advisable not to expect improvements too soon.
Here’s the status on bank space: “We are currently working on it and are looking for the best way to implement it,” Timmins explained regarding bank space. However, that’s not so simple: “We have to ensure the stability and security of the bank slots.” There isn’t an exact timeline yet, but: “It’s officially in the works and we will let the community know as soon as there is something new.”
Are fixed drops coming? As for fixed weapon drops, Gearbox expressed similar sentiments. They have heard the fans: “Many people want a reliable way to get the items they are looking for,” Timmins said, admitting that it currently feels more like looking by chance.
“You should find the items you’re looking for more often. We are currently looking at the pools,” he announced: “We are starting with this now and will say more about it in the not-too-distant future.”
After the last hotfix primarily caused frustration among fans, an adjustment to the two issues would likely bring good cheer.
