Currently, the Heartbreak Day event is running in Borderlands 3. Two new legendary weapons are also included. Here you will find out what they can do.
This is the event: The Heartbreak Day is the Valentine’s Day event in Borderlands 3. It features flying hearts that you can shoot down. They can cause explosions, temporarily turn enemies into allies, or drop loot.
The event will run for exactly one week before the Valentine’s mood fades away. Alternatively, you can simply turn it off manually thanks to many new game features from the last patch. However, this is not recommended. At least, if you haven’t gotten the new legendary weapons from the event yet.
These are Wedding Invitation and Terminal Polyaimorous
This is what the Terminal Polyaimorous can do: The Polyaimorous is a legendary Maliwan SMG that deals fire or shock damage with its lasers. But especially the weapon’s special ability is remarkable: The lasers jump like chain lightning from your target to other enemies in your field of vision. You can attack a lot of enemies at once. You can see what this looks like in the video by YouTuber Ki11er Six:
This is what the Wedding Invitation can do: With the Wedding Invitation, you can obtain a pretty powerful Jakobs sniper in the event. The damage value is extremely high, plus it has strong fire damage.
But that’s not all: With critical hits, the weapon regenerates ammunition, creates a bouncing cryo-ball, and also has splash damage. In short: The Wedding Invitation is a really, really good sniper rifle. You can also see how it works in the video by Joltzdude139:
This is how you get the legendary weapons: Both weapons are not obtainable from bosses or as world drops. They are only available as a one-time event reward. This means: You should make good use of the week if you don’t want to miss them.
You get both weapons by shooting event hearts. You need to break 50 hearts for the Polyaimorous and 100 for the Wedding Invitation. After that, you can simply collect them through the ECHO menu.
Both weapons always come at maximum level 53. So you can unlock them even if you are not at max level yet, but you will have to wait until you reach the new level cap. This means that you don’t have to look for a strong variant. However, you also cannot farm them in the usual way. So you’ll need some luck, especially regarding the weapon’s anointments.
The new weapons should definitely help you against strong enemies. Why not try them out in the Takedown:
