In Borderlands 3 two new events are coming after the new hotfix that you can use to prepare your vault hunters for upcoming challenges.
This is the hotfix: Unlike previous hotfixes, the new update avoids balance changes. They want to wait and see how the changes to Moze and various weapons are received – however, adjustments may come afterwards.
The new hotfix went live on the night from Thursday to Friday and should now be accessible to everyone. You will recognize that it is active when the “Hotfixes Applied” sign appears in the main menu.
Two new events – what’s in the patch notes
These events are added: After you were last able to loot rare chests and loot monsters, this week there are new loot events in the patch notes.
The first is called “Making it Rain” and literally lets money rain down. You will receive more cash from normal enemies as well as from Badasses and Chosen Ones. It might be worth saving a bit: According to Gearbox, the extra cash could prove useful in the upcoming cartel event.
Next comes “Mr. Torgues Slaughter Onslaught”. This improves the special loot from slaughter bosses. So it pays off to pay an extra visit to the Slaughter Rings. They consist of:
- The “Cisterns of Slaughter” on Promethea
- The “Slaughter Shaft” on Pandora
- And the “Slaughterstar 3000”
Here you must fend off increasingly difficult waves of enemies to finally face the bosses. This is rewarded with a lot of loot. And the slaughter rings are perfect for reaching the new max level.
Apart from the two events, there are also a bug fix and the addition of gameplay tags for the upcoming Mayhem 2.0 mode in the hotfix. Overall, this is a smaller hotfix than usual – but Mayhem 2.0 and the cartels are expected to arrive in April. These patches should then be more extensive.
