Today, the 2nd DLC for the shooter RPG Borderlands 3 is being released. We have all the information about the release, the price, and the contents of “Guns, Love, and Tentacles”.
Gearbox announced the 2nd DLC for Borderlands 3 at PAX East at the end of February. In “Guns, Love, and Tentacles”, you assist Wainwright Jakobs and Sir Hammerlock at their engagement party.
Release, Time, Price of Guns, Love, and Tentacles
When is the release date? The “Guns, Love, and Tentacles” DLC launches in the Epic Games Store, on Steam, and on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 26, 2020.
What time does it start? While there isn’t an exact time yet, it will likely be around 6:00 PM, similar to the last Moxxi DLC. We will update the information as soon as we know more.
What is the price of the 2nd DLC? As was the case with the 1st DLC, the 2nd DLC can currently only be purchased as part of the Season Pass. It will later be available separately, as the 1st DLC now costs €14.99.
- PC Season Pass in the Steam Store: €49.99 – On offer for €39.99 until March 30
- PC Season Pass in the Epic Store: €49.99
- PS4 Season Pass in the PS Store: €49.99*
- Xbox Season Pass on Amazon: €49.99*
The contents of “Guns, Love, and Tentacles”
This is included in the DLC: Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs invite you to their engagement party. However, things do not go as planned, so your skills as a Vault Hunter will be needed.
During your adventure on the ice planet Xylourgos, you can:
- Explore new locations, like the eerie village Cursehaven beneath a dead chamber beast
- Meet old friends and new acquaintances
- Accompany Gaige and her robot Deathtrap, known from Borderlands 2
- Fight new enemies like alien beasts, mutated occultists, and a clan of cold-blooded bandits
- Take down new bosses
- Complete additional side missions aside from the main story to learn more about the cursed villagers
- Find new gear, including legendary items and particularly powerful class mods
- Further customize your Vault Hunters with cosmetic items
The Level Cap in the 2nd DLC
The maximum level in Borderlands 3 is currently 53. This was already increased by 3 levels from level 50 in February to further balance the game. With the 2nd DLC, a free update will also be released that increases the maximum limit to level 57.
Is the level important? Since the enemies on the ice planet adjust to your level, the maximum level is not necessary. However, the adjustment also applies to the loot – so if you want the best loot at the highest level from the DLC, you need to reach the new maximum level. You do not need to have completed the main game or own the last DLCs. “Guns, Love, and Tentacles” stands on its own, and you can fly directly from Sanctuary III to the DLC area.
If you haven’t unlocked Sanctuary yet, you can easily jump to the campaign add-on with your character using a level boost.
Are you looking forward to the “Guns, Love, and Tentacles” DLC? The first 12 minutes of gameplay already look really cool.
