In Borderlands 3 a new hotfix is coming. Among other things, there will be more loot, easier enemies – and it looks better too!
When is the patch coming? The hotfix will be deployed overnight from Thursday, November 7, to Friday, November 8, on all platforms – by midnight. The new patch includes a lot of adjustments, both for Bloody Harvest and for the game outside of the event.
What’s changing with Bloody Harvest
What’s changing with Captain Haunt: Since Bloody Harvest started, players have been able to chase ghosts for strong loot. Captain Haunt should mainly fill the inventories, but until now, he hasn’t done that. That’s changing now: The chance for legendary loot has been drastically increased.
However, the boss is also getting a bit stronger: His shields will be improved. According to Gearbox, this is because many players have taken him down too quickly and thus missed out on “entire phases” of the boss fight. So it’s worth challenging the top ghost again!
Further changes in Bloody Harvest: There are further changes that players will be pleased about. On the one hand, the ectoplasm rate has been increased.
- Ghosts drop 2 ectoplasm
- Badass ghosts drop 3 ectoplasm
- Loot ghosts drop 5 ectoplasm
This allows you to challenge Haunt much faster. Additionally, loot ghosts drop more loot.
Changes to anointments and loot: Finally, another complaint from the players has been addressed. Anointed weapons with “Terror” anointment were much more frequently found lately. That is changing now: Regular enemies will drop “regular” anointed weapons more often; the “Terror” weapons can now be found more often with Bloody Harvest enemies.
Furthermore, the chance that loot ghosts leave legendary weapons from Bloody Harvest has been increased – and not just anything else.
Anointed enemies will be easier
What has also been adjusted: Even outside the event, some adjustments have been made. On the one hand, anointed enemies are no longer immune to cryo damage. While you still can’t freeze them completely, you can at least slow them down. Zane players will likely appreciate this news.
In addition, Gearbox responded to feedback that the screen was sometimes too filled with explosions: “Explosions caused by enemy badass weapons now have a much faster explosion effect to reduce the chaos on screen.” This should make it significantly clearer, especially in the endgame.
Moreover, Gearbox has announced various bug fixes.
This is how the community is reacting: On reddit, the patch has received very positive feedback. Players are happy that many wishes have been fulfilled – just like with the Bloody Harvest patch. “Cryo Zane lives on!”, one user “FutureDr_” is excited about the adjustment of the anointed enemies. Many are also pleased about the extra loot from Haunt. However, the performance improvements in split screen are still missing despite the desire – will Gearbox address that soon?
In any case, the next big milestone for Borderlands 3 is coming soon:
