When does the DLC launch? The new DLC launches today, on June 25, 2020, in the Epic Games Store, on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. An exact time is not yet known, but as with the last DLCs, the patch with DLC support is expected to arrive by around 6 PM.
How do I get the DLC? You can easily download the third DLC if you purchased it as part of the Season Pass. It will likely be available individually in the respective platform stores at a later time.

Explore the new Wild West world
This is what the DLC looks like: After you explored a casino in the first DLC and visited a cursed village on an ice planet in the second, it’s now heading to the desert.
However, it’s not heading back to Pandora, but to the planet Gehenna. But don’t worry, it’s at least as dangerous as Pandora – and has its own charm.
On Gehenna, you will encounter a typical Wild West setting, complete with nasty bandit gangs. The “Devil Riders” will make your life hell.
A stylish new location also includes a Wild West town, complete with a classic saloon. This will change throughout the new story, driven by a mysterious narrator. You will also meet new characters who desperately need your help. So put on your cowboy hats and ride out!
Discover new gameplay elements
This is new in the DLC: In the Handsome Jackpot and on Xylourgos, not much was done in terms of gameplay elements. But in “Bounty of Blood”, things are a bit different.
First of all, there is the new Jet-Beast to mention – because what would a real cowboy be without his trusty horse? Well, in this case, the horse is a hovering motorcycle that is also partly a kind of dinosaur. But this is Borderlands and not Red Dead Redemption.
With the customizable Jet-Beast, you fly over the new Western map and shoot everything that gets in your way. Gearbox has already shown what this looks like in a longer gameplay preview:
In addition, there are some new elements in combat. For example, you can use “traitor grass” to recruit enemies to your side, or be launched into the air by “breeze blooms”. You can also quickly move from one side of the battlefield to the other using a teleporter. There is a lot to try out!
Find new gear
More loot for your Vault Hunters: Sure, in “Bounty of Blood” there are not only new enemies to take down and missions to complete, but also new gear.
The DLC will include completely new legendary weapons – and they should be worth it. The first two DLCs already brought some extremely strong weapons. In addition, there will be new cosmetics for your Vault Hunters.
Additionally, the new DLC update will come with an increase in the level cap. Thus, starting Thursday evening, you can also find weapons above level 57 – it will go up to level 60.
The new weapons should also benefit you in the Guardian Takedown. It is quite ruthless and had to be nerfed after much criticism.
