Crafting will play an important role in the upcoming MMORPG Blue Protocol, as you will mostly have to craft your equipment yourself. We at MeinMMO will explain to you how it works.
Although the developers have said that it is possible to receive equipment directly as drops from opponents, this happens very rarely. Instead, you will go to one of two stations to craft, depending on what you want to create.
There is the “Crafting Station” and the “Imajinn Research Institute.”
The Crafting Station: Crafting Weapons and Items
To craft weapons and other items – for example, potions – you go to the Crafting Station in the city.
The crafting of a weapon is tied to specific materials that you find in dungeons. The necessary materials will be displayed in the crafting menu. So you are not farming the weapon directly, but the materials for it. Additionally, the process costs Luna, which is the in-game currency in Blue Protocol.
A crafted weapon has different stats that may appear with certain probabilities:
- With certain attributes, for example, you deal more damage to specific types of enemies.
- The chance of this attribute appearing has a specific probability.
- The strength of the attribute, when it appears, again has a probability.
For example, there is a 20% chance for the attribute “Strong against Ogres” to appear, and it can then be strong between 5% and 8%.
Additionally, weapons have varying slots from 1 to 4. In these slots, so-called plugs can be installed to further enhance the weapon. These also appear with certain probabilities.
All probabilities increase again when you craft a weapon with “great success” instead of “normal success.” We currently do not know how this chance looks in percentages. However, with great success, you automatically have higher stats and more slots.

Imajinn Research Institute: Harnessing the Power of Monsters
The Imajinns in Blue Protocol are basically pets. You can either ride them, call them for assistance in battle, or use their skills. The last two versions can be crafted, while mounts cannot.
Imajinns that assist you in battle are called Echoes. You can equip a maximum of 2 of them. To craft them, you need to repeatedly defeat the same monster until you have enough materials.
Through the Echoes, you use the respective skill of the monster or receive a buff. There are also random passive attributes. Like with weapons, there are different probabilities for stats during crafting.
Additionally, there are Enhance Imajinns that grant you specific attributes. Slots indicate that there are 5 different types of these Imajinns, but you can only equip 4 – one of each type. Here too, the chances of certain stats vary.
To obtain the desired equipment, you must either have extreme luck or craft the weapons and Imajinns very often.
In the real-money shop, there is said to be an item that increases your chances. Players fear a dangerous pay-to-win aspect at this point. We currently do not know how effective the item will be.
Anime MMORPG with Amazon as Publisher
What kind of game is this anyway? Blue Protocol is a free theme park MMORPG focused on PvE and featuring pretty anime graphics. You create a character and must travel to an unknown world to save your planet Regnas from destruction. Along the way, you will embark on frequent time travels.
It is developed by Bandai Namco, who are using the Unreal Engine 4 for it. The MMORPG will debut on PC, with later releases for consoles and mobile devices. The role of the publisher in our case is taken by Amazon.
These features are offered by Blue Protocol:
- 5 different classes
- The game focuses entirely on story and PvE. There will be no PvP.
- The story is completely voiced.
- An action-packed combat system
- The game world is divided into zones, similar to Guild Wars 2. Each zone should accommodate about 40 players, while cities can accommodate up to 200.
- Dungeons and raids in the endgame
- Various mounts and pets – the Imajinns.
When will Blue Protocol be released? The MMORPG is set to release in Japan in early 2023, which is very soon. A release in the West is also planned for 2023, although the developers have not yet announced a specific date. Currently, you can sign up on the website for the next beta test, which is intended to take place in January.
