Blizzard has revealed what to expect from BlizzCon 2016 – or at least, when to expect it.
Slowly but surely we are steering towards November, which means for all fans of World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch and others above all: BlizzCon 2016 is approaching! On November 4th and 5th, Blizzard’s trade fair will take place again this year. The schedule has now been published on the official BlizzCon website.
The major announcements that will be made are still uncertain. In any case, there will likely be some details about the upcoming content patches for World of Warcraft, and Hearthstone fans will probably also receive concrete details about the next expansion. For Overwatch, currently “two new heroes” are being discussed – by the time of BlizzCon, we will likely (finally) get new details about Sombra.
Those who do not want to make the trip to America can also follow BlizzCon 2016 via the Virtual Ticket from their home computer. However, one should be prepared for long nights, as the event starts in the evening and carries on into the early morning hours due to the different time zones. Cortyn says: Personally, I am a bit puzzled about what Blizzard wants to pull out of the hat this year. 2016 was already a year with many major releases (Overwatch, Legion), so right now only “fine-tuning” and “supplementing” for the current games should be on the agenda. However, since internal restructuring at Blizzard has occurred, such as the departure of Tom Chilton (former Game Director of WoW), it could also hint at a previously unknown, new project.
