Blizzard wants a full €60 from you for a package full of in-game goodies. Are they worth this price? Or is it just “overpriced junk”?
With BlizzConline, Blizzard is hosting not the only event in 2021, as there is another reason to celebrate. Blizzard is celebrating its 30th anniversary and is releasing a special anniversary package that comes in three different versions. Priced between €20 and €60, Blizzard offers three different packages that bring various in-game goodies in different games. There is something for fans of World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft, and Diablo III.
We have listed for you what the individual packages cost and what contents you get for the respective price. Please note that the items marked with an asterisk (*) are not yet available, but will be implemented in the respective game with a future patch. These patches are expected to go live by February 18 (StarCraft and Overwatch) or by February 28 (Diablo III).
Essentials Package – €19.99
For just under €20, you can get the “Essentials Package”, the smallest version of the anniversary package. It includes:

- StarCraft II and StarCraft: Remastered: Portrait set for the 30th anniversary
- Diablo III: Portrait* and companion*
- World of Warcraft: Pet Moon-Touched Netherwhelp
Heroic Package – €39.99 with Snowstorm mount
For €20 more – a total of €40 – you can get the Heroic Package. It includes all the rewards from the Essentials Package plus the following additional bonuses:
- World of Warcraft: Mount Snowstorm
- Diablo III: Wings*
- Overwatch: Legendary Skin Raynhardt*
- Hearthstone: Random legendary card from the Darkmoon Madness
Epic Package – €59.99
The most expensive package is the Epic Package at a hefty €60. It includes all items from the Essentials and Heroic Packages, as well as:
- World of Warcraft: 30 days of game time
- Hearthstone: 5 golden card packs from the Darkmoon Madness
- Overwatch: 3 golden loot boxes
- Diablo III: Transmogrification set*
Who are the packages worth it for? Basically, it must be said that the packages in all versions are especially interesting if you play several Blizzard games at the same time. Then each of the packages is a quite interesting offer. However, if you only play a single Blizzard game, you might question the value of the packages and it might be better to refrain from purchasing one.
Do you need the packages for BlizzConline? No. Watching BlizzConline on February 19 and 20 is completely free. You do not need to purchase any of these packages for that. What you can expect at BlizzConline has been speculated here.
Will you buy the anniversary collection? Or do you consider the offers rather to be waste of money?
