This diabolical nightlight is supposed to hint that Blizzard is releasing their Diablo 3 for the Nintendo Switch.
Blizzard has released a teaser from which many fans conclude a release of Diablo 3 on the Nintendo Switch console. The short video shows a nightlight in the style of Diablo.
Diablo Nightlight – The Connection to the Switch?
The teaser video is only six seconds long and doesn’t even remotely show a console. However, if you think a little outside the box, you can find the connection to Nintendo’s Switch.
The video comes with the description “sweet dreams” and shows how a Diablo nightlight is turned on and off. For the English-speaking audience, the connection is clear: “Someone is switching Diablo on.”
In the comments on the video, the “Diablo Switch” reference is repeatedly read. Perhaps Blizzard wants to announce with a little wordplay puzzle that the popular hack & slash is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Since the release of Starcraft for the Nintendo 64 eighteen years ago, there has been no further Nintendo release from Blizzard.
Diablo 3 is the latest title in the series and was released in 2012. Initially, the dungeon crawler was only available for PC, later followed by Xbox and PlayStation. A release for the Switch would therefore be likely. Presumably, Blizzard will soon unveil official information about it.
