A player from the Overwatch 2 beta discovered a toenail reference to the well-known Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel (26). He was previously a pro in Overwatch 1 and has a special relationship with his toenails.
What does the xQc reference in Overwatch 2 look like? In the video on reddit, the viewer hears the character Junkrat say in English:
You look like a gentleman who eats his own toenails!
When asked why Junkrat says that, he only replies: ‘I’m just looking for something we might have in common…’
This might seem like a bit of a strange dialogue to those who do not recognize the reference at first. But it fits Junkrat well, as he is clearly odd.
If you know Twitch streamer xQc, you’ll quickly see the hint that Blizzard inserted here in Overwatch 2.

The story behind xQc’s toenail reference in Overwatch 2
Who is xQc? The Canadian streamer xQc was a pro player in Overwatch in 2016. However, his career was short as he repeatedly made headlines for inappropriate behavior. He is now considered one of the most successful Twitch streamers internationally with 10.9 million followers.
On his channel, he plays not only Overwatch but also games like CS:GO or Fall Guys. For example, he opened CS:GO loot boxes in his streams before.
What is the reference about? The Overwatch 2 beta seems to refer to a strange quirk of the successful Twitch streamer xQc with this statement.
xQc is known for repeatedly doing a particular thing in his Twitch streams: He has chewed on his toenails several times during his streams. An example can be seen here on YouTube.
He has also posted about it on Twitter:
‘I really can’t stop chewing or picking at my fingers or my toes every 10 seconds. I do that automatically […]’

Junkrat’s statement is most likely a reference to the former Overwatch pro player and his quirk regarding toenails.
