Diablo is getting a new class that allows you to harness wind and water – but the class is once again for the wrong Diablo.
In Diablo 4, you can currently choose between five different classes: Barbarians, Hunters, Sorcerers, Necromancers, and Druids. This has not changed since the release almost a year ago in June 2023. Fans of the action RPG have been waiting in vain for a new class since then.
On July 13, 2023, the popular ARPG series received a new class called the Blood Knight – but this was not available for Diablo 4. The Blood Knight was only released for Diablo Immortal. Almost a year later, players of Diablo 4 are still waiting for a new, sixth class.
Now Blizzard has introduced a new class and announced: It is again only for Diablo Immortal.

New class lets you harness wind and water
What kind of class will it be? On May 23, 2024, Diablo Immortal will receive a new, eighth class named “Tempest.” This is an agile fighter equipped with two blade weapons who, according to Blizzard, “dives into enemies with wind and waves.”
In a video posted on YouTube, the class is briefly introduced and its abilities are showcased. You can see the player riding on a kind of whirlpool and moving quite quickly in this way. Additionally, he throws enemies with a wave attack and increases the reach of his blade attacks with water and winds.
Why is it the “wrong” Diablo? Diablo 4 is actually the big new title of the popular franchise. Here, players pay a full price to even be able to play it on their consoles or gaming PCs and expect regular major content updates.
Diablo Immortal, in contrast, is somewhat like the unloved middle child that only causes trouble. It is free-to-play, playable only on PCs and mobile devices, and there are strong, ongoing P2W accusations against Diablo Immortal.
By the way, the new fourth season of Diablo 4 will start on May 14, 2024. As usual, it is set to begin around 7:00 PM.
