The current in-game event of Diablo 4 is causing some confusion in the community. The Blizzard developers are taking this as an opportunity to keep a highly useful buff activated for longer than the intended ten days.
What kind of buff is this? Originally, the anniversary version of the Mother’s Blessing was supposed to go live at a later point and grant all players 25 percent more experience and 50 percent more gold for ten days.
Since part of the community was already counting on the start of the celebrations for the anniversary of Diablo 4 to receive the blessing, the buff is already active and will last until June 20. In the official forum of Diablo 4, community manager PezRadar explains:
“Originally, we planned to go live with the action in a few days, but we have received the feedback and the confusion about it, so we will activate the ‘Mother’s Blessing’ action this afternoon at 1:00 PM PDT.
We will update the blog accordingly with this information. The event will no longer just last ten days, but until June 20 (the end of the anniversary event). We appreciate all comments and feedback.”
According to PezRadar, the buff is supposed to grant 35 percent more experience and 35 percent more gold until next week, and only switch to the normal bonuses with patch 1.4.2.
Greedy Goblins for the Anniversary
Hotfix for March of the Goblins: In the same post, community manager PezRadar announced that some participants of the event have complained about the stingy goblins that will be roaming Sanctuary from June 6 to June 13, 2024.
“We have seen the feedback that the goblins are quite stingy. […] We are currently reviewing some numbers and want to ensure that we can deliver an appropriate update.”
A few hours later, an update followed: The developers have discovered possible solutions and are testing the hotfix tonight. The bug fix is set to go live tomorrow morning.
