However, the developers had already announced back then that there would be a replacement event that would particularly delight Warcraft fans. The “Warcraft Direct” in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise (and the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft) now finally has a date.

What is “Warcraft Direct”? The name seems to have been somewhat inspired by the competition, as Nintendo regularly holds a “Nintendo Direct.” In the Warcraft variant of this stream, the 30 years of the Warcraft franchise will be celebrated again, and the developers will announce what they have planned for the respective games in the upcoming time.
What will be shown in the Warcraft Direct? What exactly will be revealed about the individual games is still unclear. However, Blizzard says that the “Direct stream has something for everyone,” regardless of whether one is a “fan of Hearthstone,” “Warcraft Rumble,” “Warcraft: Orcs & Humans,” or “World of Warcraft.” Therefore, there is likely to be some sort of announcement for all these games.
