Through Twitch, you can now grab bonuses for Overwatch and Hearthstone . Soon, World of Warcraft is also set to follow – what could be coming?
Twitch is an indispensable part of the gaming landscape. The biggest content creators are active on the streaming platform, and games benefit from a large potential audience and a lot of reach. Especially the “Twitch Drops,” which allow players to receive extra bonuses in various games by consuming related content on Twitch, often pay off. But even monthly content that can be claimed “just like that” is popular.
This is also in store for Blizzard games in the future. This includes Hearthstone and Overwatch, but also World of Warcraft and StarCraft: Remastered are mentioned.
What is available in Hearthstone? In Hearthstone, you can expect card packs and even direct legendary cards. From now until September 14, Blizzard and Twitch want to distribute the following loot:
- 4 random legendary cards
- 3 standard card packs
You can claim the first legendary card starting now. However, those who are particularly clever will wait until April 12, as that is when the new expansion “Journey to the Sunken City” is released. This way, you’ll have a chance that the legendary card belongs to the new expansion.
What is available in Overwatch? Blizzard also wants to roll out some goodies for Overwatch through Twitch Prime. Until September 14, Overwatch players can expect some interesting rewards, namely:
- 4 legendary loot boxes (at least 1 legendary cosmetic)
- 3 standard loot boxes
You can claim the first legendary loot box directly and enjoy at least one new impressive skin or special emote.
What is available in WoW and StarCraft: Remastered? That is still not entirely clear. So far, it has only been announced that players of World of Warcraft and StarCraft: Remastered should also receive rewards through Twitch Prime. What those contents are is still pure speculation. However, in World of Warcraft, a whole range of possibilities would be imaginable:
- Pets
- Mounts
- Toys
- Transmogrification items or even sets
What Blizzard will come up with here will probably be revealed in the coming weeks – perhaps even with the announcement of the new expansion.
How does it work? To snag the loot, you must have a Twitch Prime membership. This is automatically included with an “Amazon Prime” membership, for example. Then you need to link your Twitch account to your Battle.net account – and then you can snag the loot.
Getting a subscription just for the loot probably isn’t worth it. However, anyone who already uses Twitch Prime and plays Blizzard games should consider linking the accounts and the associated loot.
