The MMORPG Bless has been playable in Russia for 5 months. However, the MMORPG is now being discontinued there.
The South Korean MMORPG Bless is considered one of the last great AAA MMORPGs of its generation. Here in Germany, we have been waiting for a long time for the publisher Aeria Games to bring the fantasy MMORPG here.
Players in Russia have been able to play Bless since December 2016. The publisher 101XP has taken over the distribution of Bless there.
Bless – back in development
It has now been announced that the service will be discontinued on May 25th. The game servers will then go offline. This is not meant to be a final farewell, but rather “a revision” will be carried out. The game is to be revised.
It is officially stated that the game will be discontinued for an indefinite period until it returns “fully and revised”.
Development in Russia justifies EU publisher Aeria Games
Mein MMO states: This development justifies the EU publisher Aeria Games in hindsight. They could have, as fans wished, brought the current version of Bless online quickly.
However, they chose to wait until urgently needed revisions to Bless in South Korea have been completed. The combat system is to be revised, and the game is to be put on a firmer footing.
Apparently, all of this is taking much longer than fans would like.
The MMORPG Bless is considered excellent, in terms of sound and graphics. It has high “Production Values”, meaning it is well made and beautiful for the eye and ear. However, the gameplay seems to be lacking. Testers report that the game lies between two combat systems, simply does not function properly and is only somewhat enjoyable.
It is likely a wise decision by Aeria Games to wait so long with the Western port until the game in South Korea is “revised”. With an MMORPG that is released here and would have been discontinued 5 months later – as it is now in Russia – nobody would have had fun.
