The MMORPG Bless Online is probably still a while away in the West. A release in Europe is expected only in 2017.
Bless Online is a Korean, relatively classic fantasy MMORPG. It looks great and has been developed with a tremendous amount of effort on the Unreal Engine. It also has the vibe that it could be the “last big” classic MMORPG. Here in the West, there has been a long drought regarding AAA releases in the genre. Many said back in 2014 that WildStar might be the last AAA MMORPG. In Korea, the wind is also blowing towards mobile.
Several weeks ago, it was announced that Aeria Games would bring Bless “as soon as possible” to the West. They have secured the license.

Now a journalist from the IT business site Venturebeat visited Aeria Games in Berlin, and on the sidelines of an interview, it was mentioned that Aeria Games hopes to launch the Western version of Bless “next year.” So in 2017.
There are over 1.2 million lines of dialogue – it will probably all take longer. Aeria Games currently has a lot to do, a merger with Gamigo was recently announced.
In the interview with Venturebeat, one of the competitive advantages mentioned is that they can run affordable TV ads in Germany. This has been a big help in reducing risk in the business. ProSiebenSat1.Media acquired Aeria Games in 2014.
Here in the article, we have a preview report on Bless, the “latest treasure” from Aeria Games:
For those who don’t want to wait so long for Bless, they might want to look at Riders of Icarus as an alternative. It is also a relatively classic MMORPG and should slowly start in the summer.
