In Bless Online you can tame a variety of enemies and make them your companions. We explain in our Bless Taming Guide how taming pets and mounts works.
Catch them all!
Which enemies can I tame? You can tame almost all creatures and some humanoid enemies. At the start of the Early Access version of Bless Online, you can tame 660 different creatures. When you click on an enemy, a small symbol appears to the left of their health bar. There are two types of symbols:
- The steering wheel means that the enemy is a potential mount.
- The butterfly means that you can make the enemy your pet.
How does taming work? You simply approach an enemy, select them, and use one of the taming scrolls in your inventory. This starts a mini-game where the goal is to hit the green area with a swinging cursor. Once you manage to do this a few times, you will obtain the tamed enemy.
There is a small chance that you will encounter a rare enemy during the taming process, which has better stats than normal enemies. In total, you can own 40 pets and mounts at the same time. If you want to increase this number, you need to level up your taming profession. You gain experience points for this when you tame monsters. The more you catch, the larger your Pokémon collection monster collection can be.
Where do I get my taming scrolls? You can obtain taming scrolls through leveling and the main quest. Alternatively, players can craft these if they reach a certain level in the “Enchanting” profession.

Once you have tamed a monster, the next step is to enhance it.
Enhance your pets and mounts
How do I increase the rarity of my creatures? You can enhance monsters in various ways:
- Pets consume stamina when you carry them with you. For every stamina point consumed, they also gain experience points, which level up their stats.
- Mounts consume stamina while you ride them. Here too, they gain experience points for each stamina point consumed.
- You can sacrifice other pets and mounts to enhance your monsters.
If the bar drops to zero, you will not be able to use the monster for the time being and must wait until the bar fills up again. The bar fills up when your monster reaches the next level. If you want to power-level a mount, it’s best to just run around.
Once a mount or pet has reached its maximum level, you can upgrade it to the next rarity rank. For example, from green to blue. This gives your monsters new abilities that support you.
To upgrade a monster, you sacrifice another monster of the same rarity rank. The chance of a successful upgrade is higher if you use a similar monster for the upgrade. So if you want to improve your water elemental, it’s best to sacrifice a water elemental. If the upgrade process fails, the upgrade chance permanently increases by a few percent.
However, it is not possible to simply take any monsters and throw them at your favorite creature until it finally evolves. Each monster has a limited number of upgrade attempts and potential upgrades.
- Upgrade attempts are the number of upgrades you can perform. This value ranges from 6 to 10. Once you reach the maximum attempts, no further attempts are possible.
- Potential upgrades reset your upgrade attempts to between 6 and 10. Potential upgrades can range from 0 to 2.
To use potential upgrades, you need items from the cash shop in the Japanese version of Bless Online. How this will work for us is still unclear.
For some players, the endgame of Bless will certainly consist of obtaining the best pets and mounts with the best ability compositions. You can also seal your monsters with a specific item and sell/give them to other players.
Choose the right ability for the right situation
Pets and mounts each have their own abilities that they can learn.
Mount abilities give you bonuses while riding them. Particularly, the ability that increases your jump height by 381% stands out. The abilities are independent of the rarity level of your mounts and pets. You can therefore receive a purple experience point buff from a blue monster.
- Movement speed increases by 10%/20%/40%.
- The stamina consumption when summoning the mount is reduced by 5%/10/20%. Additionally, stamina consumption while riding is reduced by 10%/20%/50%.
- The maximum stamina increases by 200/350/600.
- Summoning time is reduced by 30%/50%/100%.
- The mount gains the ability to sprint. Increases movement speed by 20%/30%/60% for 5 seconds.
- The mount gains the ability to camouflage. Reduces enemies’ perception range by 30%/50%/80%. Movement speed is also reduced by 40%/30%/15%.
- Reduces the chance of being knocked off by your mount by 10%/20%/50%.
- The climbing angle increases by 10%/20%/40%.
- Jump height increases by 162%/246%/381%.
- Movement speed increases at night by 40%/50%/70%.
- Your mount receives more experience points.
Pet abilities assist you in gold farming or loot gathering. They can also increase your received experience points.
- Increases your experience points when defeating enemies by 42%/76%/154%.
- Increases your found gold from slain enemies by 42%/76%/154%.
- Increases your experience points gained from killing other players by 42%/76%/154%.
- Increases your adventurer points by 6.75%/8%/10%.
- Increases attack strength by 18/28/48.
- Increases spell power by 18/28/48.
- Increases physical defense by 154/224/336.
- Increases guild experience points gained by 10%/20%/50%.
- Increases your speed in water while swimming backward by 10%/20%/50%.
- Increases your swimming speed by 10%/20%/50%.
- You craft items 5%/7%/10% faster.
- You gather and mine 5%/7%/10% faster.
- Increases your experience points by 10%/15/30% obtained from gathering and mining.
- Increases your experience points by 10%/15/30% obtained from crafting items.
- Increases the experience points that your pet receives.
- Your pet automatically collects items from defeated enemies within 30 meters.
