The Korean MMO Bless Online now showcases its action roots in the combat system with a new gameplay trailer.
In 2015 and 2016, the “three big” Bs are Bless Online, Black Desert, and Blade and Soul: Triple-A Asia MMOs pushing into the West. Blade and Soul is likely to come in 2015, then in early 2016 the sand park MMO Black Desert, and later in 2016 or 2017 perhaps Bless Online.
However, nothing is known about a West release for Bless: A publisher for the West has not yet been determined; only for China and Taiwan has one been positioned alongside its home country of South Korea. While Blade and Soul has been on the market in Asia for several years and Black Desert is set to release in Korea at the end of the year, Bless is still in an earlier stage of development.
Bless will now go into the second closed beta in Korea from December 16 to 22, bringing a second faction, introducing fresh classes such as the mage and the assassin, raising the level cap to 36, and presenting the new “end-game” dungeon in a trailer.
It is already evident here that the game has its roots in action combat: a trend in Asia MMOs, which can also be seen in the only currently existing Asia AAA MMO in the West, Tera Rising. Fast combos, lots of numbers, “flashy” effects, and a very unique art style. In Tera , development was significantly slowed due to a prolonged legal dispute, hopefully it will be different for Bless and Black Desert.
