Bless Online provides insight into the gameplay of the new Steam version for the first time in 5 videos. The shown gameplay scenes give a glimpse of all classes of the MMORPG that will be playable at the early access launch in May.

What the videos show: A preview demonstrating the basic skills and combat styles of all classes will be provided. Initially, this includes the Guardian, Berserker, Ranger, Paladin, and Mage at the Steam launch.

Why it’s worth a look: Developer Neowiz is currently working hard on the western version of Bless Online, for which a revamp of the combat system has also been announced. They aim to make battles more rhythmic and dynamic. Fans of the MMO have been eagerly awaiting gameplay material for weeks. After all, the early access version is set to release in May.

The Guardian – protects his companions with a shield

Guardians gain the resource Courage when they use a combo. They need Courage to use abilities. This is essentially their mana. If a Guardian manages to fill his entire Courage bar, he can change his stance. This switch activates the effect “Empower”, which provides advantages in combat.

If a Guardian does not benefit from the “Empower” effect while he has access to it, he receives a small penalty as punishment. Therefore, it is important for Guardians to master this gameplay aspect.

The Berserker – destroys his enemies with a powerful weapon

As Berserkers, players have two stances to choose from, which trigger either the Bloodsucker or Bleeding effect.

The Bloodsucker effect grants the Berserker a defensive effect. Your attacks drain health points from enemies and heal you. In contrast, the Bleeding effect gives you the chance to deal massive damage to the opponent. However, you have to sacrifice a portion of your health points for that.

Through the clever use of both stances and the associated effects, the Berserker can be both damage dealer and off-tank.

The Ranger – focuses and deals high damage

As Rangers, players jump around enemies and use their high mobility to avoid damage. As long as players remain still, they gain a concentration resource that builds up slowly. Once it reaches a certain value, players can choose whether to deal massive damage or prefer to benefit from helpful combat effects.

For a Ranger, it is important to use the right stance in the right situation and thus get the most out of their concentration resource.

The Paladin – protects his companions with healing magic and his shield

The Paladin can keep his group alive with strong healing abilities in Bless Online or protect them with his shield. Depending on his stance, every third ability of a combo grants him a buff that either deals damage or heals.

As a Paladin, it is important to react quickly and keep an eye on mana. A Paladin without mana cannot heal his group.

The Mage – controls his enemies with the powers of the elements

Mages gain access to certain elements like ice, fire, and air depending on their stance choice. By consuming these elements and switching stances, Mages can activate bonus effects.

The bonus effects vary depending on the chosen stance, and it is important to activate the right effect for the right situation.

Stances change the way you play

This is how the stances work: Stances exchange your first 3 active abilities. In each class, players can choose 2 out of 6 different stance abilities. Once you have switched your stance, you cannot do so for a certain time. Therefore, the stances work similarly to a weapon switch. You can freely choose the last four abilities in your ability bar from a larger number of skills.
