The developers at Neowiz publicly apologize for the numerous issues that have arisen since the early launch of Bless Online. Those who purchased a Founder’s Pack are now being compensated for the bugs and crashes.
Those who bought a Founder’s Pack were able to play Bless Online two days before the release on May 30. Since then, complaints about poor performance, login difficulties, and server crashes have increased.
The lead producer Sungjin Ko publicly apologizes: “[…] I sincerely want to apologize to all players who have experienced inconveniences due to server and connection issues. […] We are aware that these are just a few of the things we need to work on in Bless Online’s Early Access. […]”
A new fix aims to address several issues: In his open letter, Sungjin Ko further mentions that some bug fixes have already been worked on. Today, on May 30, update V1.0.03 was released.
What the update is said to fix according to Ko:
- Loading screen bug: Players were stuck on Bless Online’s loading screen. This has now been fixed.
- Lag: Players experienced significant issues with delays and lag while looting, questing, and other actions. This was caused by the high influx of players. An emergency maintenance update has upgraded the database system to prevent I/O delays.
- New servers: New servers for NA and EU have been added for the official Early Access launch.
Endgame content is yet to come
Bless Online’s Early Access is a growing process: Sungjin Ko also apologizes for the lack of clarity for players that Bless Online is a growing game. There seems to be quite a bit of content missing that will be added over the coming weeks and months.
New content is expected in 1-2 weeks: This includes 15vs15 player PvP and new high-level dungeons.
Dissatisfied players will get their money back: Those dissatisfied with the current state of the game will also receive a refund. However, Ko hopes that these players will return to Bless when the content and features they expected are available.
Pioneers receive 2,450 Lumena as compensation
The Bless team regrets that players with a Founder’s Pack faced so many problems at the early launch. Neowiz wants to compensate the founders for the inconveniences.
Founders will now find 2,450 Lumena in their account inbox: Lumena is the premium currency in Bless Online. Currently, 2,450 Lumena is worth approximately 17.30 euros. Anyone who purchased their Founder’s Pack between May 28 at 7:00 PM and May 30 at 9:00 PM will receive this compensation.
