The players of the MMORPG Bless Online can expect new endgame content next week. An update is coming. The Bless developers are also announcing changes to the heavily criticized drop rates in dungeons.
New Elite Dungeon: Elite Dungeons in Bless are harder versions of the normal dungeons. The enemies are stronger, but they also reward players with better loot. Currently, players can only play the dungeon “Urutus Mine” in the elite version. However, with the update next week, “Elite-Migra Turis” will be added.
The elite version rewards players among other things with a heroic weapon at level 45, when they defeat the final boss of the dungeon, Flame Lord Fogas.
When is the update coming? The update is scheduled to be deployed on 18.07.2018.
Bless listens to fan criticism, will change drop rates in dungeons
The drop rate will be doubled: In recent weeks, fans have criticized the drop rate of items in the dungeons. In their opinion, it is too low. Groups have run a dungeon multiple times but found far too rarely equipment when defeating a boss.
Because equipment for other classes can also be found, including for the Assassin class, which is not even in the game yet, many fans have been displeased with the low drop rate. Neowiz wants to react by doubling the drop rate of items.
New information about the action combat system: A feature that many fans are waiting for is the highly anticipated action combat system. Currently, this type of control is only available for the Berserker class. Soon, Neowiz wants to unlock the action combat system and tab-target system for almost all classes.
However, two classes will be excluded for now:
- The Paladin will only be playable with the tab-target system. He needs the ability to target directly to heal effectively.
- Berserkers will initially only be able to use the action combat system. According to Neowiz, the tab-target system is just not fun with the Berserker.
All other classes can look forward to the unlocking of both control options. To ensure that players using the tab-target system do not have a significant advantage, Neowiz will add a tracking feature for the action combat system.
When will the changes come? Players can expect, according to Neowiz, “soon”.
What fans can look forward to
More is coming. Neowiz is also talking about problems with the game and future changes that the development team is working on.
- The developer is working on adjustments to PvP. Additionally, they are working on PvE balance. Classes are supposed to perform better in group play. Guardians should be able to draw aggro better.
- Furthermore, performance improvements are planned.
When can players expect it? These changes are also supposed to be implemented in the game “soon”.
Fan sentiment is improving. In recent weeks, Neowiz has faced strong criticism. Players specifically addressed these problems:
- Bless has a poor English translation.
- While performance has improved, it is still too poor.
- Players have too little to do in the endgame.
Therefore, fans are looking forward to the elite version of the dungeon Migra Turis.
Is one more elite dungeon enough for now?
But there are doubts: The question here is, how long can a dungeon keep the fans entertained?
The announced changes to the drop rates in the dungeons also address one of the important criticisms fans have regarding the endgame of Bless. However, some players point out that doubling a very low drop rate does not really help. Players suspect that the drop rate is between 4% and 10%. Therefore, a doubling would not lead to a significant change.
Policy of small steps: Bless seems to be adopting a policy of small steps to advance the improvement of the MMORPG. The critics who express disappointment and anger about the game in many forums (including Mein MMO) will not be appeased by this. Many of them have already left Bless. The interesting question will be whether Bless can retain a core group of fans with these small, but regular improvements.
