To ensure better stability and optimal player numbers, the MMORPG Bless aims to merge the official servers. By the end of July, there should only be 2 servers per region.
Many servers, but too few players: At the start of the online role-playing game Bless in the West, the servers were completely overloaded. Neowiz responded with a higher number of servers to better handle the load. However, this is now causing problems, as Bless has also felt the natural, often occurring consolidation after an MMO launch. Decreasing player numbers are the result, and those who are still left are spread across too many servers and cannot play together. Accordingly, the calls for server merges have become louder. Neowiz intends to fulfill this request soon.
Server merge coming in July, expected to bring better stability
From 15 down to 4: Another important step for more stability and a good number of players will come at the end of July 2018. The developers plan to merge the servers significantly!
After the merge, there should only be two realms in North America and two servers in Europe. Currently, 15 realms are online, so it will be a large merge that reduces the number of realms by more than two-thirds: from 15 to 4.
Launch phase over, more time for current problems: Meanwhile, the developers at Neowiz have also solved a significant stability issue and are planning further measures for more stable servers. Now that the major rush at launch is over, they have the time and resources to focus on the continuous stability of the game.
Server merge important for stable PvP player numbers
Currently not enough players for PvP: After the server merge, they also plan to finally bring the long-awaited 70vs70 PvP mass battle mode Siege of Castra into the game. This feature was missing in the launch version of Bless in the West. However, according to many players, the servers are currently too sparsely populated to fill these massive PvP battles adequately. The server merge is expected to remedy this. Currently, the player numbers are approximately 7000 players online at the same time according to Steamcharts. At launch, there were over 34000 during peak times.
What is known about the merge?
Help! What will happen to my character? How your servers will be affected and what this means for your characters, your items, and your progress will be explained by Neowiz in due time. They want to give players enough time to prepare for the merge.
These realms will remain: So far, it is only known that the US realms Kairos and Hilan, as well as the EU servers Bacillas and Iriaphos, will remain.
