Some users agreed. They hinted that Neowiz lacks the creativity to develop original ideas.
Other Reddit users defend Bless: The scene could just as well be seen as a tribute to a great film. “How to Train Your Dragon” has also been a basis for a complete game, for School of Dragons.
Above all, the creator was accused of just dragging the name of Bless through the mud. He himself goes by the name “NattoGW2” and his posts have mostly been pro GuildWars and contra Bless.
Many don’t understand what the fuss is about: Another group of users is puzzled about what this “witch hunt” is all about. Anyone who is already a fan of GuildWars has no reason to hate Bless.
Using a reference to well-known scenes is also commonplace. It is not something that Neowiz should be criticized for and certainly no reason for a hate post.
Bless polarizes: This discussion also shows how much Bless is currently dividing opinions. Rarely has an MMORPG polarized as much as Bless is right now.
What do you think? Is the scene a cool reference to a good movie, or is it just cheap knockoff? Do you think the discussion is exaggerated? Let us know in the comments!

The new MMORPG Bless Online has released a trailer for its launch in Europe. However, there is a part in it that uses the exact animation from a Dreamworks film. A Reddit user noticed this – and it sparked a debate.
“How to Train Your Dragon” in the Bless trailer: In the official trailer for Bless Online, released in late 2017, a Reddit user discovered something. A scene in the trailer exactly matches the animation from the film “How to Train Your Dragon”.
The Bless trailer lasts less than two and a half minutes, and the scene is only visible for a few moments. From about second 35, a dragon rider crashes with his dragon into an abyss and has to pull sharply upwards. The same scene is found in “How to Train Your Dragon”.
Reddit users and fans have mixed opinions
When the comparison was posted in a compiled animation on reddit, it sparked a heated discussion. Reddit users have very different views on what the motivation of the developer Neowiz could have been.
But see for yourself:
The scene is stolen and plagiarized: The original post on Reddit about the issue was titled: “The Bless trailer plagiarized How to Train Your Dragon”. This is a serious accusation, which would mean that Neowiz has unlawfully taken someone else’s property.
Bless polarizes: This discussion also shows how much Bless is currently dividing opinions. Rarely has an MMORPG polarized as much as Bless is right now.
