The upcoming online role-playing game Bless seems to be larger than expected for the new publisher Aeria Games. Therefore, plans for beta testing have been postponed for an indefinite period.
Bless has recently been taken over by publisher Aeria Games and is set to be released here in Europe and the USA. But when this will happen is still completely uncertain, as those responsible at Aeria Games have apparently underestimated the sheer size of the project. Therefore, there is still a lot to do, and Aeria Games cannot offer any release or beta dates for Bless in the near future.
The combat gameplay as a concern
According to a forum message from Aeria employee Carsomyr, there is still a lot of fine-tuning to be done on the Bless project, as many aspects are not yet optimized for a release in the West. Especially the combat system and performance during large battles are far from optimal:
The Korean developers of Bless, Neowitz Studios, are currently working on performance improvements during large siege and street battles in the game.
Particularly, the combat system is currently concerning the developers. It is not at the level of a modern MMORPG and plays rather sluggishly and feels vague. Neowitz aims to quickly remedy this and enhance both the action and the tab-target controls.
In addition to these obvious challenges, Aeria Games wants to make further adjustments for the Western market. However, the specific changes were not revealed in Carsomyr’s post in the forum.
