There is a lot happening in the MMORPG Blade & Soul. Not only has a major update been announced, but Battle Royale events are also planned. This should bring fresh wind to the online game. However, fans are showing some confusion.
New Quests and a Battle Royale Event are Coming
What does the new update bring? On March 13, an extensive update called “Legacy of the Hongmoon” will be released, introducing a number of new features:
- The level cap will be raised from 55 to 60.
- Each class will receive revised specializations.
- New quests tell the story surrounding the Sanctum of Eternal Life, where you must help Master Chundoon defeat the evil forces terrorizing Gunwon City.
- Lyn can take on the role of the Guardian class and wield the great sword.

What else is coming? The Battle Royale phenomenon will not pass by the MMORPG Blade & Soul either. However, you should not expect a permanent game mode. This is a temporary event titled “Islands of Vengeance.”
- 20 players fight not only against each other but also against boss opponents.
- You will need to collect boosts and tactically use your abilities.
- The last survivor will receive exclusive rewards, fame, and honor.
More information about the “Islands of Vengeance” will be available soon. How often this event will take place is still unknown.
The first Battle Royale event will take place from March 13 to April 10.
Players Would Like a Permanent Battle Royale Mode
This is how players are reacting: On Reddit, the community is discussing the update and the Battle Royale event. Many are wondering why Battle Royale is only being introduced as a temporary event and not as a permanent mode. For some, this decision does not make sense.
User avendurree23 is wondering: “I don’t understand why a Battle Royale mode should be time-limited.”
2019 is going to be an interesting year for Blade & Soul, as a new class and a shift to Unreal Engine 4 are also planned.
