The first update is waiting for Blade & Soul and brings the Tower of Mushin – but what awaits the players there and why does it even exist?
Blade & Soul was only released a few weeks ago, yet a content patch is already waiting to be deployed on the live servers. On February 10, 2016, the update “Rough Tides” will be released and brings numerous fresh contents – including the Tower of Mushin. But what is it actually about?
The Lore of the Tower of Mushin
The tower originates from the time when the Naryu Empire still ruled the world. It was built all the way up to the clouds and served only one purpose: to train the heirs of the Naryu family. Mushin, as his name suggests, was to master the countless dangers and challenges of the tower, to elevate himself above the powers of mortals and to gain god-like abilities. Later, the tower attracted more fighters who hoped to be worthy challenges for Mushin himself.

The years after Mushin’s death saw the tower closed – but now it has reopened its gates. How fitting, as all strength is needed to keep Jinsoyun in check.
What awaits in the tower?
On the ground floor of the tower, the hustle and bustle is still calm. Numerous merchants are waiting for players, offering some special items. There are training areas and an arena where practice fights are held.

Initially, 7 levels await the players, in which they must face various boss fights. Those who do not progress need not worry about their progress: already mastered levels can be skipped at any time. The tower is a solo challenge that is expected to be expanded in further content updates.
