In the Free2Play martial arts MMORPG Blade and Soul the rush continues. More new servers are coming.
Many Free2Play titles burst at the seams at launch. But a rush like the one on Blade and Soul is still rare. NCSoft is pleased with this success. A few days ago, they launched with 22 servers. There was an overwhelming response. The 22 servers were quickly filled, they say in a statement on the B&S forum.
They then started increasing the server capacity and, when that didn’t help, launched 6 new servers.
Those are already full as well.
Iron reserve increases server count to 32 – NCSoft has already ordered new servers
4 more servers will be going online soon. That was the “iron” reserve. After that, they have nothing left in reserve. But NCSoft has already ordered new hardware. It will take a while before they can deploy that as well.
With the 4 servers coming now, they will be at 32. The two newest EU servers are called Twin Wagons and Spirit’s Reset.
