In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the famous streamer Dr DisRespect held his grand Code Red tournament in Blackout. However, Twitch had other plans and instead featured a painter.
Who is Dr DisRespect? The controversial streamer Dr DisRespect is a character created by former Call of Duty developer Guy Beahm. The Doc is known for being quite vocal during his streams.
In the past, the Doc spent a lot of time in PUBG. Since the Battle Royale mode of Black Ops 4 was released, you can mostly find him there.
What is the deal with the Doc’s tournament? For Black Ops 4, the Doc hosted his own tournament called Code Red. Starting November 1st, 16 duo teams competed for victory.
A prize pool of $20,000 was set for the winners. Among the participants were well-known streamers like Shroud, Skadoodle, TSM Viss, and Halifax.
What is Bob Ross doing on the Twitch main page?
Dr DisRespect commented on the game and the actions in the chat during the tournament. Suddenly he became speechless. It seemed like something had caught his attention.
The Doc is dumbfounded: Indeed, something just happened that left the Doc astounded. A glance at the main page of Twitch revealed that his tournament was not featured there at all. Instead, there was an announcement for the massive 400-episode marathon of painting tutorials by Bob Ross!
The complete opposite of Black Ops 4! Those who know Bob Ross, the late painter with the soothing voice known for “happy little trees and clouds,” understand that. In his incredibly calming videos, he explains how to create such peaceful landscapes on canvas.
Many people therefore use the painter as a reliable sleep aid or enjoy his outstanding painting skills. Bob Ross is thus the complete opposite of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which offers fast-paced action and frantic slaughter.
The Doc is upset: However, Twitch placed his tournament, with numerous popular influencers and over 162,000 viewers, behind what he considers to be the less important painting show by Bob Ross, which really frustrates the streamer, as can be seen in the embedded video here.
What do you think of the Doc’s reaction? Is it understandable that he is upset about the preference for Bob Ross, or do peaceful painting shows also have a right to the Twitch highlight?
