Soon, the new Operation “Spectre Rising” will start in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Some fans concluded from a teaser that the Blackout world could be flooded. And this will indeed happen.
Which teaser is it about? A few days ago, Black Ops 4 already teased a new specialist. In the new season, the character Spectre, an old fan-favorite from the third part of the Black Ops series, will make his return.
Although he had only a brief appearance, there is no doubt in the eyes of the fans. They have also been on the lookout for more details. And now some fans think that not only a new character is coming but that the game world of Blackout could also change. But why?
What will be blown up in the teaser? In the short clip, you can see how Spectre stirs up a whole squad of soldiers in a kind of gang or tunnel, and then attaches numerous explosives to a wall. An explosion is not visible, but the tweet says, “The clock is ticking.” Where exactly this scene takes place is unclear.
However, some fans are convinced that this corridor is located in the Hydro Dam, that is, in the dam of the Blackout map. They speculate that an explosion inside the dam would create a hole in the structure, potentially leading to massive flooding of the game world.
As a result, areas like Rivertown or the train station area could completely or partially disappear underwater. This way, Treyarch could bring fresh air into the Blackout map, which has only been changed with the yacht from Hijacked and the Ghost Town area since its release.
Update April 30 – The dam will indeed break: Fans apparently had their theory right.
